Once at Registry Easy’s website you simply click on “Start Free Scan” and the file will begin to download with your permission. The first screen to populate is the main scan page. Additional Observations: We were concerned about not having a live chat agent or phone support with Registry Easy. There was only email support (via form) as an option. The extensive help files and simplicity of the system set our minds at ease. We never needed support but do know that email support is 24 hours and there is little chance you will need it. A major plus of getting this software is the optimization features. Version 5.6 is incredible and can tweak memory (to recover memory space), complete simple registry defrags, and you can even optimize by system type (Windows Vista default, office model, home model, or laptop model). Error Utilities are included that protect from freezing, crashes, and blue screen. ActiveX is addressed as well as DLL object registry keys. These all help to speed up slow computer problems. One other feature that must be mentioned is IE (Internet Explorer) Restoration. This includes the BHO Manager that allows removal of unused Internet Explorer plug-ins that slow browsing.
